How it works
Book here, ride and pay in the shop
On Velivo nothing is paid and nothing is shipped. We help you find the right bike in a Ticino shop and arrange a time to try it. The rest happens in the shop, face to face.
Find a bike
The catalogue only lists bikes that actually exist, in a shop in Ticino: workshop-checked second-hand bikes, end-of-line new models and rental bikes.
Book a test ride
Pick a day and a time and leave your name and phone number. The shop sets the bike aside for your appointment. You pay nothing and give no payment details.
Get your code
You immediately receive an email with the booking code, the shop address and its opening hours. The code carries a small benefit that the shop applies in person.
Try it and buy in the shop
Ride the bike, take your time and decide there. If it suits you, you pay in the shop; if not, nothing happens. Warranty, accessories and servicing stay with the shop.
Frequently asked questions
Do I pay online?
No. Nothing is ever paid on this website and no payment details are asked for. You only book an appointment; you pay in the shop, if the bike suits you.
Who gives the warranty?
The shop that sells you the bike. Warranty, repairs and servicing are between you and them: we neither sell nor repair. What each shop offers is listed on the «Garanzie» page.
What is the code for?
It tells the shop you came through this website and lets them recognise you. It carries a benefit — a discount or an extra, the shop decides — which becomes active once you confirm the code together in the shop.
Can I cancel?
Any time, using the link at the bottom of your confirmation email. No password, no phone call. If you cannot make it, please do cancel: the bike then goes back to someone else.
I am visiting Ticino. Is renting a good idea?
For a few days, yes: an e-bike turns the climbs around the lakes into something you can enjoy without training for them. Shops adjust the bike for you, explain the real range on your route and provide a helmet — which a vending machine does not.
Will they speak English in the shop?
Usually some, especially in the tourist towns, though we cannot promise it. The site is in Italian apart from these pages; brand, model, size and price are readable in any language.
What does «workshop-checked» mean?
That a shop took the bike back, stripped it down, serviced it and set it up again before putting it back on sale: brakes, drivetrain, wheels, and on an e-bike the battery health too. These are not private listings.
